Well I did say...
I made no promises to post "randomly" in the week but I am going to tell you about how to have a great interview. Here are my 5 top tips:
1. Choosing someone to interview: I would say that you need someone who the audience wants to read about or doesn't know much about but you also want to include the audience in what you do. You want someone who might be relateable or interesting.
2. Topics: You may see me only really wanting the details to the fashion-gossip side of Stardoll because that is something I find is a main factor on Stardoll. However, you can talk about almost anything with the right set of questions just by linking a previous question to the next, it lengthens the conversation then adds in options on what to ask next.
3. Catching eyes: You may want to maybe add in colour or images to catch people's attention. It's just the usual thing you'd do to get some attention.
4. Questions: You want to ask good, open questions. You want to make sure that you can get the longest possible answer from your interviewee, I guess you would call it. This is so you can get the most just from one question, then cut it down if it is too much. It's better to have too much that having to ask extra questions to get more answers.
5. Just be yourself: When presenting the interview, don't think you have to go crazy to make it look good. As cliche as it is, you just need to be yourself to prove you can do it.
I hope now you can all go out and get a great interview!

Excuses, excuses..
The title may say it all but I will explain it anyways...
Today I was supposed to write up the first Inside Stories Needs You (ISNY) post, unfortunately, I have been revising all day today for an exam tomorrow.
You may ask, then how do you have time for this post?
Well, I am literally taking out 5 minutes to write up a short explanation and usually I take a lot more time with my posts so it is portrayed in the best way. Nevertheless, you going to have to wait 1 more week to find out who is the first participant in ISNY.
Sorry! However, you may see me randomly posting within the week to make up for it but no promises!

Happy Mothers Day!
Today is Sunday, May 13th, which means today is...
Mothers Day!
What is Mothers Day exactly?
The modern holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in America. She then began a campaign to make "Mother's Day" a recognized holiday in the United States. Mother's Day is a celebration that honors mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in March, April, or May.
Word for Word Credit HERE.
Today, kindly hint your mother with a homemade card, a delicious treat, and just letting her know you love her!

Stardesign Hair: Amazing or a Ripoff?
Hello Everyone!
Stardesign Hair released today, causing a major reaction from several of the people on Stardoll. It seems as if Stardoll has been focusing in on the Hair genre, possibly because they've kept the same hairstyles for Ages now.
I am happy that stardoll took the effort to create these little one page booklets, or else i'd be utterly confused when we enter the designing area.
One of the major flaws is that if your doll is wearing any accessories, then your doll will end up in the designing area with the item on. Sort of like my doll right now:
The Pieces are a tad confusing to work with, in my opinion. There's not a clear way to move them, and especially with that hat in the way it is tough to see where the hat is going. Other than that, I had a blast trying to put together hair pieces to create some hair look.
The Look I created was the norm. Slick straight hair, and fringe, it's the easiest to make in my opinion, as the pieces just consist of a few bang pieces and straight hair. Streaks can be made to look more natural by making the hair piece more transparent.

Anyhoo, I was observing the comments on the posts related to Stardesign hair, saying that this was a ripoff. I don't see how, as Stardoll created both the resources to creating "hair", I think they just wanted to make it easier for some people.
What do you say?
Stardesign Hair? Or Stardesign Jewelry?

Inside Stories: Sara AKA Sarabear123
An extremely talented writer for many blogs (including this one!), co-owner of the Stardollian Gala and contributor to several magazines.. Well what an impressive girl! This week, I interviewed the lovely, Sara!
I have always loved writing. My grandfather has always written short stories and poems which later encouraged me to write. In elementary school I wrote many stories, two were sent to a local fair and received third and first place. A couple of years ago I found the blog-side of Stardoll. I really loved the creativity and chances it opened up to the users. A friend owned a blog and added me as a writer. I didn't really think I could do it before that but after I wrote there for a bit I got a bit more confident. I applied to several blogs but was finally chosen to be a writer on Big Brother Stardoll. That was the beginning. People seemed to like me on BBS so I kept applying to other blogs and has just progressed in the process.
Why do you think blogging has gotten bigger?
Like I said before, blogging really allows users to be creative. They can express a different level of thoughts and portray it in a different form of art.
Is it something thatyou find comes naturally to you?
I have always loved it so yes, it has in a sense come naturally. I do always have to put a lot of thought and effort into everything I write though and often, one post or article will take me hours to write and perfect.
What sort of topics to you enjoy writing about?
I really love to write about anything. I enjoy fashion posts because I really have a passion for it. I also enjoy more serious pieces. It challenges me to step outside of my normal comfort zone and hopefully expand my writing.
As well as a talented writer, you co-own The Stardollian Gala. How do you think that went this year?
I was happy with the turn out especially for it being such a last minute project. I do wish that the co-owner and I had spent a bit longer to really think more about who we were nominating.
I was happy with the turn out especially for it being such a last minute project. I do wish that the co-owner and I had spent a bit longer to really think more about who we were nominating.
Is it something you'd like to continue in the future? If so, why?
Yes, I would love to continue it into the future. I do think it is a good idea (maybe not the most original but still good) and I think it has the potential to really be something everyone can look forward to for entertainment. Where did the idea come from?
Around the time I had the idea, a lot of blogs where coming out with award ceremonies and 'honorable mentions' and lists. I was wanting something that covered all areas. Unfortunately, the first SG ceremony didn't really show that.
What was your inspiration/s?
Not only was it around award season, the other ceremonies and things on Stardoll all served as inspiration as well.
Do you think if you run it next year, it will be a bigger production? Do you think more people will be interested?
Yes, I do hope it would be bigger and much better. I also think that more people could be a bit more intrigued.
What sorts of things, if any, are you planning for the future of all your projects?
I definitely plan on continuing writing. A friend and I have a fashion line on hold that we are trying to start up again. I also have other things I would love to do such as have my own magazine and blog. There is also one other project that everyone should definitely be on the lookout for. Something that is rather unique and will mean a lot to me and many others I know for sure.
Thank you for doing this interview :)
Thank you! It has been a pleasure :)

Newspaper Nail Art
Hey everyone, today I wanted to show you a really quick and easy way to create a design on your nails using newspaper. I had tried this out before and I really liked it but I never seem to have any newspapers so I haven't done my nails like this for a while. I actually thought I'd show you this because I had seen quite a few people at my school wearing this design and I really liked it.
When I tried this out I couldn't seem to find any rubbing alcohol in my house so I used a perfume that I didn't like because it has alcohol in it. it actually didn't turn out too bad and I was pretty impresed with the results. Some nails turned out better than others, but some of the other ones smudged because they weren't completly dry when I put the top coat on.

Vogue Returns and Kharma Sets The Mood

The third issue of Vogue( a popular new stardoll magazine) has arrived.
The much-anticipated return had viewers aching for more as it featured a single article and a professional graphic of popular English singer, Adele, also known as Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. The Articles explains some facts about her and her music.

The rest of the magazine goes on to state(in a casual way) trends of the season.

Although the newly released magazine wasn't very long, it was full of creativity and fashion.

Also to return to the stage is a popular couture brand many know as Kharma.
Kharma is owned and designed by Kimberly Dean(xxlovexx)
She is the head designer and a graphic designer for the brand.
The brand recently released a spoiler for their upcoming line entitled:
Sixties Goes Couture
Many are anticipating a big return and are hoping for this new line to surpass Fearless' line.

Writers Application Updates; Writing Trial Information
Maybe you've checked recently the additions to the writers application, and know new positions have opened up. If you'd like to apply for these new positions, click HERE.
Since there are so many positions and I need to know you'll be an active writer for your selected position, I've decided to give every applicant a writing trial. I will be hand selecting a few at a time with true writing potential, and give them a month to write about their selected topic. If you are timely, and post on a regular basis (with good grammar and sentence structure), you will be hired as an official writer, and be given all benefits that a regular Stardoll's Appearance writer receives.
I will be asking 2 or 3 girls/boys a week to contribute to the blog for a month. After your term, you will be removed from the blog to give others a chance. On Friday, June 8th, all new writers will be announced, and any remaining trial writers will continue to post, however new applications will not be accepted after Friday, May 25th.
Trial writers will also receive a simple banner to use during their trial session.
I will be announcing the first batch of trial writers soon, so keep applying, and you'll be able to post officially on Stardoll's Appearance!
Thank you, and I'm really excited to see new faces show their talent!
Let's start observing.
I felt as If I wasn't doing the best I could do on the blog. I look at my old posts and each one screams 'Lazy! Lazy! Lazy!'. So now, while America's next top model is running on the background, I've decided to do a one-up on my run of the mill posts. Starting with observing Stardoll all around. And not just in the new features it releases.
- - -
The newest Dot collection sure has departed from its previous style of spring, rather reflecting on the natural colors like light taupe, earthy reds, foresty greens, and deep muave. There are also a mix of pastels and blues that don't seem to fit the natural collection. Namely the Teal Me eyeshadow as well as the Just Peachy eyeshadow. It also seems even more peculiar that Stardoll has included Teal Me blush. I am thinking they are taking this trend from one of Lady Gaga's previous uses of Mint colored blushes.

Windows of the world was a definite WOW [Get it?] this time around. Stardoll stuck with the raging trends of Pastels in the spring and brought it out in its German collection. The blazers were a direct hit on the center of the target this time around, as well as the blouses and dresses. The style of the items were great, but I feel as if stardoll is over using the pastel colors. Anyway, we can't complain too much, several people are in love with this collection.
So...opinions?
